Short-Term Running Goals:

Get faster at shorter stuff.  Spend more time at home and quit the "Long Stuff"

Run some good 5ks and 8ks this fall

Personal:

400m/800m competitively in track in high school.  Took 15 years off. Started running again in 2010.  Married to my beautiful wife, Tiffany, with 2 little boys.  6' tall and fluctuate around 150lbs.  I'm a civil engineer working for the Indiana DOT in Seymour, IN.   I live in a slightly larger town about 20 miles north - Columbus, IN.  Originally from Lexington, KY.

Lunch run outside - 80 degrees and 60% humidity.  5mi. AT, +7 x strides.  About 6:40 for AT, 5:00 for strides.  Hurting aerobically to go that fast.

3.5 mi. total - 35min., jog back to work.  Yep - still humid

AM gym - core strengthening and stretching/conditioning for about 30 minutes.

Lunch - run outside.  New Multi-use path on Burkhart is paved and ready for use.  6.72 miles at easy pace over to cemetary and back - 57:45.  Very Humid

Long Run A: AM Run of most of the Mill Race Marathon course.  Really struggled throughout the run, more so in the last 3-4 miles.  26.22 miles - 3:46:09.  3 gels and water/gatorade drink
