Keep my Long-term Running Goals consistent for more than a month... Fail
400m/800m competitively in track in high school. Took 15 years off. Started running again in 2010. Married to my beautiful wife, Tiffany, with 2 little boys. 6' tall and fluctuate around 150lbs. I'm a civil engineer working for the Indiana DOT in Seymour, IN. I live in a slightly larger town about 20 miles north - Columbus, IN. Originally from Lexington, KY.
LR - started at 7:30a, in some mild temp., but sky-high humidity. Road running on PplTrail. Planned out and back to 450N brewery on pvmt. / county roads, turned sour around 25 miles. Ran out of tailwind laced drink in w2 handhelds and only had water. That probably had something to do with it. Lesson learned on that one. Carry more calories. Cut the distance a bit short of the planned 40 mile goal and walk jogged final ~10 miles. 37.1 miles - 6:08:50.
AM - Hilly Road Long Run: Ran out Carr Hill, Youth Camp, and over to Grandview. 2x around Grandview and back CHill/YCamp. 2350 Elevation gain. Cooler temps, so 2 handhelds with Tailwind and a couple of Huma gels were spot on nutrition/hydration. Only 2 bathroom stops. 32 miles - 4:54:50
