Personal:

400m/800m competitively in track in high school.  Took 15 years off. Started running again in 2010.  Married to my beautiful wife, Tiffany, with 2 little boys, now 4 and 6.  I'm a civil engineer working for the Indiana DOT in Seymour, IN.   I live in a slightly larger town about 20 miles north - Columbus, IN.  Originally from Lexington, KY.

Lunch run at Sycamore Land Trust out by /harrison Lakes.  Its a nice trail loop with a good bit of mud, alot of shady sections, and is usually well maintained.  1.25 mile loop x 4 today, speeding up each loop.  5 miles total - 47:45.

Soccer practice with the boys - we are up to 4 laps around their small field as the "finisher", and seeing some improvements in both of them already!  :)

Ran home from there - the long way.  Went around the backside of Blackwell park and back toward town on most of the last part of the Mill Race route.  Really got low in the last couple miles - dehydrated, and tired.  13.48 miles - 1:56

Is it hard to get them to run slower, or do you just let them do their own thing?

Ha! They sprint the first 50 meters no matter what I say :)

The 7 year old seems like he is starting click on some of the skills drills, but, the running at a pace thing is still not there.
