Personal:

400m/800m competitively in track in high school.  Took 15 years off. Started running again in 2010.  Married to my beautiful wife, Tiffany, with 2 little boys, now 4 and 6.  I'm a civil engineer working for the Indiana DOT in Seymour, IN.   I live in a slightly larger town about 20 miles north - Columbus, IN.  Originally from Lexington, KY.

Long run outside.  had a grand plan to run a 50k PR when I set out from the house this morning.  Feeling decent energy level and a little stiff in the legs.  Turned in to an 8 mile AT, a few bathroom break stops, and then a slog back home.  Best part of run was pulling together some pick ups at the end of the run.  19 miles total - 2:26:53

AM - Series 10k race in Seymour.  Its amazing how similar the races are each year.  I was lonely in 3rd and was keeping Tim in sight for most of the race.  decent result considering little specific faster training.  slower mile slipt at mile 5 - 6:09.  Struggled aerobically after 4.5 miles, and could tell the difference in fitness specific to 10k/5k versus the long slowness I have been training for.  Faster for shorter is the mantra right now.  Maybe another 100M attempt in the summer

AM - TM workout - Gettin LT/TH specific - 3x1mi. 10k w/ 0.25 recovery jog - 10mph, 10.1mph, 10.2mph.  6.5miles total - 49:00.  New Hoka Clifton 3s.  A whole lotta cushion goin on with these shoes.  Without the $100 gift card to the local running store, would not have made this purchase.  (They were $140).  Walk at work and a easy lunch run with the group at Muskatatuck.
